As a traditional craft that has been carefully handed down, their handiwork using materials unchanged since the Edo period is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Taketa City.

毎年収穫した葉を蒅にして、昔ながらの「天然灰汁発酵建」で一点一点心を込めて藍染をしています。

 This is an original design of “KOUYASOMEKAI”. This kinchaku (purse) is finished with indigo dye and katazome, a traditional Japanese technique. The design is based on the motif of a skull. The title of the design is “NOZARASHI” It shows a skull rolling in a field and flowers, insects and animals blooming there from a pop perspective. The indigo-dyed coloring is also beautiful. The storage capacity makes it useful for both daily use and travel. Another nice thing about the drawstring is that it can be made compact according to its capacity. Of course, it is also washable.
