花とつばめをモチーフにデザインをしました。

染色の途中で追加で糊伏せして染め重ねることで二色の藍色を表現しています。
明るく華やかな一枚となりました。

紺屋そめかひの「藍」

清涼な空気と水のある故郷、九州は大分県竹田市の畑で農薬を使わず有機肥料を与えながら自分たちで育てています。
毎年収穫した葉を蒅にして、昔ながらの「天然灰汁発酵建」で一点一点心を込めて藍染をしています。

漂白剤はご使用になれません。脱水後は素早く陰干しをしてください。保管場所は引き出しや直接光の当たらない場所でお願いいたします。

This Kincyaku(purse) is made with traditional Japanese techniques of indigo dyeing and katazome.
The motif of the design is a flower, a swallow, and insects playing happily in a flower garden.
It is a bright and gorgeous piece.

KOUYA-SOMEKAI "organic indigo"

We grow our own leaves in the fields of Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, our hometown with cool air and water, using organic fertilizers and no pesticides. Using the leaves harvested every year as raw materials, they dye each indigo piece by heart in the traditional way.
